Danelectro
Since 1948, Danelectro guitars, basses and electronics have been a part of Rock‘n’Roll history. Iconic, quirky, fun, eclectic, it’s hard to find a famous guitar player who hasn’t at one time, or another wielded a Danelectro in anger on stage or relied on Dano’s killer tone in the studio.
Danelectro is revered for good reason. From the iconic lipstick tube single coil pickups, the frame and Masonite bodies, and the achingly cool designs and colours guitars like the ‘57, ‘59DC, ’67, Longhorn, Baritone, Sitar, Convertible, 64 XT, are all guitars like no other with which you can open up your expressiveness, add colour and vibrancy to your music, and reference the tones of yesteryear in a modern context.
Then there’s the Danelectro FX pedals. The folks behind Dano electronics are steeped in the history and development of guitar FX electronics, from Nathan Daniels original tremolo electronics, to the 1966 Liverpool Compact Fuzz Box, the 1971 Foxx Tone Machine, then the world’s first affordable electronic guitar tuner, all of which led. In 1997 to the rebirth of the Danelectro brand and the launch of the Danelectro Fab Tone, Daddy O and Cool Cat FX pedals. They haven’t stopped since, with a procession of the coolest, innovative, and now very collective pedals such as French Toast, Spring King, Talk Back, Chicken Salad, FAB, and more all leading up to today’s 3699 Fuzz, Back Talk, Roebuck, Breakdown and Eisenhower.
