G&L ASAT Classic Tribute Series Bluesboy.
Finished in Sonic Blue, this G&L has been cherished by just one previous owner and is in immaculate condition.
The last owner replaced the jack socket with a ‘proper’ Fender one, and also replaced the tuners. Therefore there are holes left behind (see photos)
A factory-modded version of Leo Fender’s traditional single-cutaway bolt-on, the G&L Tribute ASAT Classic Bluesboy is a killer T-style guitar.
This solidbody electric’s basswood body positively growls, exhibiting a warm tone with truckloads of mix-penetrating mids. Its comfortable medium C-shaped neck is capped with an easy-playing 9.5”-radius fingerboard. Thanks to its ultra-versatile pickup configuration, the ASAT Classic Bluesboy twangs, spanks, and clucks with the best of them — and that’s just the Leo Fender-designed bridge pickup.
When you flip it to the neck position, it churns out warm jazz tones like it’s nobody’s business. The ASAT Classic Bluesboy includes a classic boxed-steel bridge, sealed tuners, and an eye-grabbing tinted neck finish and 3-ply white pickguard.
Basswood body yields a killer growling tone
The ASAT Classic Bluesboy features a basswood body — a tonewood prized for its growling warmth and mix-piercing midrange. This electric guitar’s rock-solid maple neck boasts a comfortable medium C profile and an easy-playing 9.5”-radius fingerboard that’s guaranteed to put a smile on your face. The guitarists here at Sweetwater appreciate the classic playability of the ASAT Classic Bluesboy.
G&L-designed pickups serve up a myriad of sonic textures
You can coax a myriad of sonic textures out of the G&L Tribute ASAT Classic Bluesboy. Its alnico-loaded, Paul Gagon-designed neck humbucker exudes a vintage-inspired PAF-like tone. This humbucker’s slightly goosed output is sure to get your amp cooking, while its chrome cover lends a hint of warmth to your playing. A Leo Fender-designed single-coil Magnetic Field Design bridge pickup houses an extra-thick bar magnet that emits an ultra-tight magnetic field. This design produces a massive amount of energy around the coil, ensuring super-strong output and a muscular, percussive attack. This single-coil pickup also features individually adjustable pole pieces to give you complete control over your tone. The ASAT Classic Bluesboy does it all — twang, spank, cluck, and jazzy warmth.
Leo's favorite creations
After founding two hugely successful guitar brands and consulting on the side, Leo Fender felt that he had unfinished business in the guitar world. Together with partner George Fullerton, G&L opened for business in 1979 and incorporated innovative design elements into their instruments, such as the Magnetic Field Design pickups, Dual-Fulcrum Vibrato, Saddle-Lock Bridge, and Bi-cut neck design. Leo was so proud of his new instruments that he famously declared that G&L's "are the best instruments I have ever made." Play a G&L today and experience the magic for yourself.
