The Matt Heafy Origins Les Paul Custom 7-String is loaded with Heafy's bespoke Fishman MKH Fluence pickups, which are as dynamic as they are powerful. Capable of unleashing crushing output, or being dialled back for sparkling, glassy cleans, they can handle any musical situation you throw at them. The neck is made to a SlimTaper D profile, meaning it's nice and thin, which is ideal for fast-paced playing.

 

Matt Heafy used his original Les Paul Custom as inspiration for the design, whilst updating the feel and tone for modern players. And the tuning stability will cause you no strife, largely thanks to Grover Locking Mini Rotomatic machine heads, which keep your strings locked down and ready to go. A premium hardshell case is included for professional standard protection - it's built to last.

Matt Heafy has been on the scene for over 20 years now, having joined Trivium when he was just 13 years old! Now the only original member left, his riffs, savage screams, and huge cleans have been a steady ship for the band throughout the years, helping propel them to the top of the metal universe.

Fishman Fluence pickups provide a universe of tones for you to play with. Renowned for having multiple voices – including active and passive – they'll bring your licks to life with their supreme articulation and powerful technology. Using push-pull pots, you can switch between hot humbucker and single coil sounds, giving you total tonal versatility.

 

With the active voicing, you'll get that super high output, aggressive sound which is as crystal clear as it is tight. Cleans will be bright and defined, whilst high gain settings will roar thunderously with savage bite. The passive voicing offers its own unique tone, giving riffs that classic, dynamic, well-rounded voice which powers through the mix. Both rhythm and lead licks will have everything they need to truly shine – you're in for a treat.

 

SpeedTaper D neck

With the SpeedTaper D mahogany neck in your hands, you'll feel unstoppable as you plough through lick after lick in style.
