FGN J Standard Mythic JMY7-Ash-M 7 String in Open Pore White. Made in Japan in 2019 and a seriously high-spec modern metal machine from Fujigen.

 

Finished in the striking Open Pore White finish, the ash body grain subtly shows through the satin-style coating, giving it a really classy, understated look that stands out from the usual modern metal crowd.

 

This is a seriously high-spec instrument featuring:

• Seymour Duncan Sentient-7 neck pickup

• Seymour Duncan Nazgûl-7 bridge pickup

• Push/pull coil split

• Gotoh MG-T locking tuners

• FGN Circle Fretting System (C.F.S.)

• 5-piece Maple/Walnut neck

• 24 jumbo frets

• Reverse headstock

• Made in Japan Fujigen build quality

 

Condition-wise, this one is in cherished condition with only light signs of careful use. There are a couple of small paint chips/finish marks present alongside minor play wear and small blemishes commensurate with casual ownership, but nothing structural whatsoever. It presents beautifully overall and has clearly been looked after.

 

Playability is superb, with the fast neck profile and premium fretwork making this an incredibly comfortable 7-string whether you’re into progressive metal, djent, modern fusion or lower-tuned ambient textures. The Nazgûl/Sentient pairing absolutely delivers, with tight articulate low-end, crushing rhythm tones and surprisingly clear cleans when split.
