What Do We Do?
At Chordplay Guitars, we source a select range of instruments from Japan, focusing on models that stand out not only for their quality, but for the feel, detail and individuality that have made Japanese-built guitars so respected among players worldwide.
From Edwards, Tokai and Greco to Orville and other sought-after domestic-market brands, these are guitars with real substance — instruments built with care, precision and a level of consistency that has earned them a loyal following for decades.
Many of these models were never officially offered in the UK. That is exactly what makes them special.
The Chordplay Approach
We do not buy blindly, and we do not import for the sake of it.
Every guitar in the Japan Select collection is chosen carefully, with close attention paid to condition, specification, originality, desirability and overall feel. We focus on instruments we would genuinely want to own, play and stand behind.
Before reaching the website or shop floor, each guitar is checked, prepared and made ready for its next owner.
This is not volume importing.
It is selective sourcing, done properly.
