A lovely example of Orangewood’s hugely popular Rey Mahogany, offering a comfortable Grand Auditorium body shape, warm all-mahogany tone and a very easy playing feel.

 

This example is in as-new condition and has been set up with an upgraded set of strings, so it is ready to play straight away. It also includes the original Orangewood gig bag.

 

The Rey Mahogany is designed around the versatile Grand Auditorium shape, giving you a balanced, full acoustic voice without the bulk of a larger dreadnought. The cutaway provides easy access higher up the neck, while the satin finish gives the guitar a smooth, natural feel in the hands.

 

Built with layered mahogany throughout the body, it delivers the warm, rounded character associated with mahogany acoustics, with plenty of midrange presence and a nicely controlled top end. Scalloped X bracing helps the guitar remain lively and responsive.

 

The mahogany neck uses a comfortable C profile with a 25.5” scale length and 43mm nut width, making this an easy transition for players coming from electric guitar. A Purple Heart fingerboard and bridge add a distinctive touch, while the bone nut and saddle are unusually good appointments at this price point.
