Santos Martinez SM440TS Thin Body Electro Classical Nylon String Guitar

A really attractive and slightly unusual thin-bodied electro-classical from Santos Martinez, finished in natural and fitted with a cutaway for much easier access further up the neck.

 

This is an ex-demo example which has never been privately owned. It has been displayed and handled in-store, so there are a few light handling marks and some minor hand/oil marks from shop use, but nothing significant. Overall it presents very nicely and remains in excellent condition.

 

The slimline body makes the SM440TS particularly comfortable to play, especially for players more accustomed to electric or steel-string acoustic guitars, while retaining the traditional nylon-string feel and wider classical-style fingerboard.

 

It is also fully equipped for amplified use, with an onboard preamp offering volume, bass, middle and treble controls, phase switching and a built-in tuner. That makes it a very practical option for live performance, recording, rehearsals or simply plugging into an acoustic amplifier at home.

 

The Venetian-style cutaway gives much better upper-fret access than a traditional classical guitar, while the understated natural finish, dark fingerboard, slotted headstock and black binding give it a really smart contemporary look.
