Absolutely stunning Charvel Pro-Mod San Dimas Style 1 in Matte Blue Frost, just arrived at Chordplay.

 

A high-performance superstrat built for speed, comfort and big rock tones, with the classic San Dimas feel, maple neck and fingerboard, Seymour Duncan humbuckers and a recessed Floyd Rose double-locking tremolo. It looks fantastic in the flesh too, with the Matte Blue Frost finish giving it a really clean modern look without being too shouty.

 

Condition is excellent overall and it has clearly been cherished. There is one small ding to the front of the body, shown clearly in the photos, along with some very light handling blemishes from careful use. Nothing nasty, and overall it presents beautifully.

 

It has just had a professional in-house setup here at Chordplay, with the Floyd Rose set correctly and a fresh restring with 9s, so it is ready to go straight away. The Floyd feels stable, the neck feels fast and smooth, and the guitar plays exactly how you’d want a Charvel to play.

 

Tonally it is a beast. The Seymour Duncan JB TB-4 bridge humbucker gives you that hot-rodded rock bite with plenty of attack and output, while the Seymour Duncan ’59 SH-1N in the neck adds warmth, clarity and smooth lead tones. The push-pull coil split gives you extra versatility, making it much more than just a straight-ahead rock machine.

 

The maple speed neck, rolled fingerboard edges and 12”-16” compound radius make it incredibly comfortable whether you’re playing fast lead lines, big bends, rhythm parts or heavier riffs. Add in the Floyd Rose 1000 Series tremolo and you’ve got a seriously capable guitar for rock, metal, fusion, shred, blues and more.
