A fantastic little Orange rig comprising the Orange Micro Dark 20W hybrid valve head, matching Orange PPC108 1x8 cabinet, official Orange padded carry bag and original power supply.

 

This setup has been used only twice at home and is in as-new condition. It has been extremely well looked after, still has the original Orange tags present and makes a superb compact rig for home use, recording, practice or anyone wanting genuine Orange character without the size of a full stack.

 

Despite its tiny footprint, the Micro Dark is a seriously punchy little amplifier. It uses a 12AX7/ECC83 valve in the preamp combined with a solid-state power section to deliver up to 20 watts, with plenty of gain available for classic rock, hard rock and heavier styles.

 

The controls are beautifully simple with just Volume, Shape and Gain, but there is a surprising amount of range available. The Shape control moves from scooped, aggressive high-gain tones through to thicker, more mid-forward sounds, making it very easy to dial in.

 

Around the back you also get an effects loop, which is a brilliant addition on such a compact head, especially if you want to run delays, reverbs or modulation effects after the preamp section.

 

The matching Orange PPC108 cabinet is the perfect partner. Orange’s smallest speaker cabinet uses an 8” Voice of the World speaker in a closed-back cabinet, giving this little stack far more authority than its size suggests.

This complete setup has been used only twice at home and remains in as-new condition.

 

The head, cabinet and bag are all exceptionally clean, with no meaningful signs of use. The original tags are still present, which says a lot about how lightly this has been used.
