This is one of the most eye-catching resonators we have had through the shop. Finished in Ortega’s striking Distressed Denim, the RRG30E-DD has an intentionally aged, road-worn appearance straight from the factory, with areas of the mahogany showing through the deep blue finish to create a genuinely individual vintage look.

 

Underneath that finish is a full mahogany body paired with a traditional aluminium resonator cone, giving the guitar the metallic attack, projection and rich harmonic character associated with classic resonator instruments.

 

It is also fully equipped for amplified use thanks to a passive lipstick-style pickup, controlled by discreet volume and tone controls mounted alongside the resonator cone. That makes it equally at home acoustically, plugged into an amplifier or taken straight onto the stage.

 

The round-neck construction, comfortable 628mm scale length and 43mm nut width keep it familiar for conventional guitar players, while the 19-fret blackwood fingerboard and 2-way truss rod give it a modern, practical playing feel.
