🔥 Fernandes Revolver Pro Sustainer – Metallic Gunmetal – 2005 🔥

 

A seriously cool and increasingly uncommon Fernandes from the mid-2000s, this 2005 Revolver Pro combines classic superstrat styling with one of the features Fernandes became famous for: the Sustainer system.

 

Finished in a striking metallic gunmetal/charcoal, the colour has a deep metallic character that changes considerably under different lighting. Paired with the all-black hardware and sharp Revolver body shape, it has a fantastic early-2000s high-performance look.

 

Fernandes Sustainer

 

The standout feature is, of course, the Fernandes Sustainer system.

 

Designed to allow notes to sustain far beyond what you’d achieve from a conventional pickup setup, the Sustainer opens up everything from long, singing lead notes to controlled feedback-style effects and more experimental sounds. The additional switches mounted on the body control the Sustainer functions.

 

At the bridge is a Fernandes humbucker, giving the guitar plenty of output for heavier rhythm and lead work alongside the Sustainer driver at the neck.

 

We’ve deliberately avoided quoting an exact pickup model or internal Sustainer specification as we haven’t been able to verify the precise factory configuration of this particular 2005 example.

 

Floyd Rose Tremolo

 

The guitar is fitted with a Floyd Rose locking tremolo system, complete with locking nut.

 

We haven’t been able to establish the exact Floyd Rose model fitted, so rather than speculate we’ve simply described it as such. It gives the Revolver exactly the sort of high-performance tremolo setup you’d expect from a guitar of this style.

 

Combined with the 24-fret fingerboard, slim-feeling neck and excellent upper fret access, this is very much a guitar designed with lead playing in mind.

 

Condition

 

For a guitar dating from 2005, this one remains in very good used condition overall, although at 21 years old it has naturally picked up signs of being played.

 

There are a number of small chips around the edges of the body, along with various surface scratches, handling marks and general play wear. We’ve deliberately photographed the more noticeable areas closely so that the condition can be properly assessed.

 

There is also some fret wear, as pictured, and the hardware shows some age and use, particularly around the tremolo.

 

None of this is particularly unexpected on a guitar of this age and, viewed normally, it remains a very smart looking instrument. The metallic finish is particularly impressive under the light and disguises much of the smaller cosmetic wear.

 

This isn’t being presented as a collector-grade or mint example. It’s an honest, played 2005 Fernandes that has survived its 21 years remarkably well and has plenty of character to show for them.
