2023 Burny RLG-55Z Heritage Cherry Sunburst ☀️

 

A superb example of Burny’s classic single-cut design, finished in a particularly attractive Heritage Cherry Sunburst with a highly figured maple top.

 

Dating from 2023, this RLG-55Z has been played and enjoyed but still presents extremely well overall. There are some lacquer chips and marks to the rear of the body, particularly around the neck joint area, together with lighter surface marks and minor signs of play elsewhere. We’ve photographed these areas closely so the condition can be judged clearly.

 

From normal viewing distance, however, it remains a very striking guitar. The figured top has loads of movement under the light and the deep cherry outer burst contrasts beautifully with the amber centre.

 

It has just been through the shop, set up nicely and fitted with fresh strings, so it is ready to play.

 

The construction follows the classic recipe, with a substantial mahogany body topped with 15mm of maple, a set mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard. A pair of Burny FVH-2002 humbuckers provide the familiar twin-humbucker voice, controlled through the traditional independent volume and tone arrangement.

It is a lovely looking example with the classic proportions, feel and construction that make Burny single-cuts so appealing, and the figuring across this particular top really sets it apart.

 

Condition

 

Overall very good used condition.

 

There are lacquer chips and marks to the rear of the guitar around the neck/body area, together with light surface scratches and minor play wear elsewhere. These have been photographed closely and form part of the condition description.

 

The guitar nevertheless presents extremely well, plays beautifully and has just been restrung and set up by us ready for its next owner.
