A brand-new release from JET Guitars, and this new Candy Apple Red JS-400 HH looks fantastic.

 

The JS-400 HH takes JET’s familiar modern S-style platform and gives it a punchier twin-humbucker setup, combining a roasted poplar body, Canadian roasted maple neck, rosewood fingerboard and a pair of ceramic zebra humbuckers.

The new Candy Apple Red finish is a real standout. Against the roasted maple neck, dark rosewood fingerboard, zebra pickups and chrome hardware, it gives the guitar a clean, classic look while still feeling unmistakably modern.

 

The Canadian roasted maple neck is one of the highlights. JET use a comfortable Modern C profile with a 9.5” fingerboard radius and traditional 25.5” scale length, giving the guitar a familiar feel straight away whether you’re playing chords, rhythm work or lead lines.

 

Roasting the maple removes moisture from the timber and improves stability, while also giving the neck that darker, premium appearance that has become such a big part of the JET look.

 

A pair of ceramic humbuckers with zebra bobbins provide plenty of output, punch and sustain. They suit everything from blues and classic rock through to heavier gain sounds, while the simple one-volume, one-tone and three-way selector layout keeps everything straightforward.

 

The tremolo bridge gives you plenty of scope for adding vibrato and movement, while the double-action truss rod allows plenty of adjustment should your setup preferences change.

 

It’s another really strong example of what JET are doing so well at the moment: a stylish, modern guitar with genuinely useful specifications and excellent playability without pushing the price into premium territory.
