A superb 2008 Korean-made Peerless PD-60 dreadnought acoustic, featuring an AAA solid American spruce top, mahogany back and sides, scalloped bracing, mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard and bridge, Mother of Pearl dot inlays, bone nut, chrome hardware and a beautiful natural gloss finish. It is a very well-made all-round acoustic with a big, open dreadnought voice, strong projection and a lovely balanced tone.

 

This example has also been fitted with a retrofitted Fishman pickup system, giving you reliable plugged-in performance without spoiling the look of the guitar. This is labelled as a standard PD-60, not the factory PD-60E model, and the pickup system uses discreet soundhole-mounted controls rather than the larger plastic preamp box normally found on the side of the electro version. A much cleaner look, and a very useful upgrade.

 

Condition-wise, this is in beautiful used condition for a 2008 guitar. There are light signs of use, including some play wear and a few scratches/marks to the back as clearly pictured, but nothing nasty and certainly nothing that affects how it plays. It has clearly been well looked after and plays incredibly well.

 

The guitar sounds excellent acoustically, with the sort of depth, clarity and projection you would hope for from a quality dreadnought, and the Fishman system is working perfectly for plugged-in use. It also comes with a hard case, which adds real value and makes this a very strong package at £499.
