2024 Fender Player II Mustang – Aquatone Blue

 

A lovely example of the newer Player II Mustang, finished in Aquatone Blue with a slab rosewood fingerboard.

 

This is a 2024 model and condition is near mint overall. Being very critical, there are a few light marks around the headstock edge and face, which we’ve photographed closely, but the body and rest of the guitar present beautifully with only the lightest handling wear.

 

The Player II update keeps the Mustang’s compact 24” scale and unmistakable offset shape, but gives it a more modern, easy-playing feel. The neck has Fender’s Modern C profile, a satin finish to the rear and rolled fingerboard edges, while the two Alnico V Mustang single coils keep the sound clear, direct and very recognisably Fender.

 

The hardtail bridge makes this a particularly straightforward Mustang too. No vibrato system to manage, just a simple six-saddle string-through-body setup with good tuning stability and plenty of attack.

There are a few small marks around the headstock, visible in the close-up photographs, plus the very light handling wear you would expect from a pre-owned instrument. Nothing that detracts from what is otherwise an exceptionally clean example.

 

Frets look excellent with very little evidence of use.
