Ibanez RG350DX White - PRS Bridge Humbucker Upgrade - Fresh Fret Dress & Setup

 

A huge amount of guitar for the money.

 

The Ibanez RG350DX has long been one of the go-to choices for players wanting the classic RG formula without spending serious money. Fast neck, 24 frets, locking tremolo, HSH pickup layout and that unmistakable sharp-edged Ibanez styling.

 

This example has also had a worthwhile upgrade in the bridge position, with the original bridge pickup replaced by a PRS humbucker. The middle and neck pickups remain original, giving you a very versatile HSH setup with plenty of usable tones from clean through to high gain.

 

At £299, this is a lot of performance for the money.

 

Condition

 

This is a used guitar and does show some cosmetic wear.

 

There are several chips and marks to the white finish on the front and around the edges of the body. Some of these appear to have been touched in previously. We have photographed the affected areas closely so the condition is clear.

 

There is also normal age-related wear and tarnishing to some of the black hardware.

 

Nothing here affects the structure or playability of the guitar.

 

It has just had a fret dress, restring and full setup, and it is now playing extremely well. Frets feel smooth, action is comfortable and everything is working as it should.

Upgraded PRS Bridge Humbucker

 

The original bridge pickup has been replaced with a PRS humbucker, giving the guitar a stronger and more refined bridge sound than the standard factory unit.

 

The neck humbucker and middle single coil remain original Ibanez pickups.

 

Combined with the five-way selector, this gives a wide range of sounds covering heavier rhythm work, lead tones and cleaner split-style positions.

 

Classic RG Playability

 

The RG350DX uses the familiar thin and fast Wizard II style neck, making it particularly comfortable for players who like lower action, quick runs and easy access across the full fingerboard.

 

The 24 jumbo frets provide plenty of range for lead work, while the deeply contoured double-cutaway body gives excellent upper-fret access.

 

Double-Locking Tremolo

 

The guitar is fitted with an Ibanez Edge III double-locking tremolo system, allowing for much more dramatic pitch movement than a traditional tremolo while helping maintain tuning stability once correctly locked and set.

 

The locking nut and fine tuners are all present.
