PRS SE Mark Tremonti Standard – Piano Black

 

A superb one-owner example of the PRS SE Mark Tremonti Standard in Piano Black, and one that has clearly been cherished from new.

 

This has come to us from a customer who looked after his guitars exceptionally well, and it shows. Overall condition is outstanding. There are a handful of very light handling marks that can be picked up under strong direct lighting, as you would expect from any glossy black finish, but apart from that it presents beautifully.

 

It even still has the protective film on one of the pickups.

 

The Tremonti Standard takes the familiar PRS single-cut shape and gives it a slightly more aggressive character, combining a solid mahogany body with a maple neck, rosewood fingerboard and a pair of PRS Tremonti ‘S’ humbuckers.

 

Those pickups were developed specifically for the Tremonti model and are designed with a higher-output response in mind. There is plenty of power available for heavier gain tones, while the neck pickup remains smooth and full enough for cleaner passages and lead work.

 

This version also features the PRS Designed tremolo with Trem-Up route, rather than the stoptail arrangement found on some Tremonti models, giving additional flexibility while retaining the familiar PRS feel.

 

The neck uses PRS’s Wide Thin profile, paired with a 25” scale length and 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with the trademark bird inlays.

A genuinely lovely example.

 

The guitar has had one careful owner from new and remains exceptionally clean. There are some very light handling marks visible when the glossy black finish is viewed under direct light, but nothing that detracts from the overall appearance.

 

The frets, fingerboard, hardware and back of the guitar all present extremely well, and the protective film remains on one pickup.

 

For a used Piano Black guitar, this is about as clean as we could reasonably expect to find.
