2016 Epiphone Jeff Waters Annihilation-II Flying V – Annihilator Red

 

A rare 2016 Epiphone Jeff Waters Annihilation-II Flying V in the unmistakable Annihilator Red finish.

 

These don’t come up particularly often now, and this one presents very well for its age. Condition is excellent used overall, with only light handling marks, minor play wear and a few surface scratches if you go looking for them. Nothing major, and visually it still looks superb.

 

Designed in collaboration with Jeff Waters of Annihilator, the Annihilation-II takes the classic Flying V shape and gives it a much more aggressive, modern feel.

 

The body is solid mahogany, paired with a mahogany neck and a 1960s SlimTaper D profile, while the dark phenolic fingerboard keeps the feel slick and fast. The custom Annihilator Devil inlay at the 12th fret is one of the standout details.

 

A pair of Epiphone ProBucker humbuckers handle the sound, with a ProBucker 2 in the neck and hotter ProBucker 3 in the bridge. There’s also a KillPot switch for stuttering effects, which suits the whole personality of the guitar perfectly.

 

Hardware includes Grover Rotomatic tuners, a LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and Stopbar tailpiece, finished in black.
