🇯🇵 LATE 80’s/EARLY 90’s JAPANESE EDWARDS 🇯🇵

This Edwards MR-85 is a fantastic example of the high quality Japanese-made instruments that helped establish Edwards as one of the most respected names in the MIJ market.

Built in Japan and featuring aggressive late 80s inspired styling throughout, the MR-85 combines a fast, comfortable neck profile with powerful humbuckers, a locking tremolo system and unmistakable stage presence thanks to the reverse headstock and skull & crossbone inlays.

The guitar has clearly been played and enjoyed over the years and is best described as a player grade example rather than a collector’s piece. There are cosmetic marks, scratches, scuffs and areas of edge wear visible throughout as shown in the photos, along with general signs of use consistent with age. Importantly however, there are no structural concerns and the guitar plays exceptionally well.

The frets are in excellent condition with very little visible wear and the guitar has recently been professionally set up, resulting in a fast, comfortable playing experience with excellent tuning stability.

The bridge pickup has been replaced with an EMG-HZ unit, delivering powerful, articulate high output tones perfectly suited to rock and metal styles.
