The Epiphone Explorer has long been one of the most recognisable shapes in rock, combining aggressive styling with huge humbucker tone. Korean-built examples from the early 2000s have become increasingly sought after thanks to their build quality, making them an excellent choice for both players and collectors.

 

Finished in classic Gloss Black with gold hardware, this 2001 Korean-built Explorer has aged beautifully and remains in excellent condition for its age. The finish still presents exceptionally well with only a handful of small chips and marks, as shown in the photographs. The gold hardware displays the expected tarnishing that adds plenty of character without affecting performance.

 

Most importantly, it plays superbly. The neck feels fast and comfortable, the frets have plenty of life remaining and the twin humbuckers deliver everything from thick rhythm tones to soaring lead sounds.

 

Complete with an older gig bag, this is a fantastic opportunity to own an increasingly hard-to-find Korean Explorer.

Excellent used condition for a 2001 instrument.

 

There are a few small chips and cosmetic marks around the body edges as shown in the photographs, along with age-related tarnishing to the gold hardware. Overall it presents extremely well and has clearly been well looked after.
