A beautifully presented 2004 Fender Japan ST-45 Stratocaster, finished in classic gloss black with a white pickguard and rosewood fingerboard.

This is exactly the sort of Japanese Fender that makes our Japan Select range so enjoyable to source. Simple, traditional Strat styling, excellent Japanese build quality and a guitar that feels immediately right in the hands.

The guitar is in excellent condition for its age. There are some minor marks, light surface scratches and gentle play wear consistent with a guitar that has been played and enjoyed, but nothing that detracts from the overall appearance. As the photographs show, it presents absolutely beautifully.

Most importantly, it plays superbly. The neck feels comfortable and familiar, the frets remain in very good usable condition and the guitar has that clear, responsive Strat character that makes these Japanese-built examples so popular.

The traditional SSS pickup configuration gives you everything you would expect from a classic Stratocaster. Sparkling cleans, glassy intermediate positions, warm neck tones and plenty of bite from the bridge pickup.

The guitar appears to retain its original specification throughout, including the three single-coil pickups, hardware, tuners, bridge and electronics.

The neck heel is factory marked ST-45, confirming the model designation.

Condition

Excellent used condition, particularly considering its age.

There are some light surface scratches, minor marks and gentle signs of play wear around the body and hardware, all consistent with normal careful use.

The frets show only minor wear and the guitar plays extremely well.
