🔥 2013 Ibanez RGIR20E Iron Label Black – EMG 81/60 – 24V Mod 🔥

 

A great value example of one of the earlier Ibanez Iron Label models, built in Indonesia in 2013 and aimed squarely at heavier players.

 

The RGIR20E is a serious bit of kit, with a fast Nitro Wizard neck, EMG active pickups, Edge-Zero II tremolo and built-in killswitch. This particular guitar has also had a very useful 24V battery mod fitted for the EMG 81/60 pickup set.

 

The 24V mod gives the active EMGs increased headroom and a little more range and openness compared with the standard 9V setup. It is a standalone and easily reversible modification, so the guitar can be returned to the original 9V configuration if preferred.

 

Apart from the battery mod, the guitar remains as close to its original factory specification as possible.

 

Condition

 

This is not a mint example and we have priced it accordingly.

 

There are numerous surface scratches, pick marks and general signs of use across the gloss black finish. Some areas are more noticeable under direct light, particularly around the controls, tremolo area and rear of the body.

 

There are also a number of small chips, dings and marks around the edges, along with some lighter cosmetic marks to the neck. We have photographed the more noticeable areas closely so the condition can be judged accurately.

 

Despite that, it still presents very well from normal playing distance. The gloss black finish still has plenty of shine and the cream binding gives it a great look.

 

Most importantly, it plays extremely well. It has previously been set up to the former owner’s preference, so the new owner may wish to make minor adjustments to suit their own playing style, tuning and string gauge.

 

At £399, this represents a lot of guitar for the money, particularly with the EMG 81/60 set, Edge-Zero II trem and reversible 24V upgrade already fitted.
