Some guitars are simply beautiful. Others have a story. This Nash T-68 Pink Paisley has both.

 

Hand built by Bill Nash in 2018, this is Nash’s celebrated recreation of one of Fender’s rarest and most collectible late-1960s finishes. Rather than simply printing a modern paisley graphic, Bill Nash reportedly spent years recreating the look of the original Pink Paisley Telecasters using painstakingly researched materials and traditional techniques to achieve a finish that captures the spirit of the originals.

 

The result is one of the most convincing and visually striking Pink Paisley guitars you’ll ever encounter.

 

Finished in lightly aged nitrocellulose lacquer, every mark, worn edge and aged component has been carefully applied by Nash Guitars before naturally blending with years of genuine playing. Beyond the intentional relic work, this guitar remains in excellent condition, plays beautifully and delivers everything you’d expect from a boutique instrument built by one of the industry’s most respected names.

 

Weighing 7lb 13oz, it’s lively, resonant and exceptionally comfortable whether you’re on stage or in the studio.

 

At the heart of the guitar sits a superb pairing of Jason Lollar hand-wound pickups, producing everything from sparkling vintage Telecaster cleans to rich, muscular bridge tones with outstanding clarity and dynamics.

 

Included is the original Nash Guitars deluxe hardshell case together with the original specification tag.

 

The Pink Paisley Story

 

According to Nash Guitars, recreating the original late-1960s Pink Paisley finish became a project spanning several years.

 

Bill Nash searched extensively for an original roll of the rare wallpaper used on the vintage Fender guitars before eventually locating a surviving section in Germany. That artwork was then painstakingly recreated before countless material samples were produced in an effort to match not only the distinctive paisley pattern but also the subtle texture and sparkle of the original finish.

 

The result is widely regarded as one of the finest boutique interpretations of the legendary Pink Paisley Telecaster.

 

Rather than simply looking old, these guitars capture the character, feel and personality of a genuine vintage instrument while offering modern reliability and exceptional playability.

Lollar Pickup Configuration

 

The Vintage T neck pickup delivers warm, articulate Telecaster tones with a full-bodied midrange and beautifully clear top end. It remains open and dynamic while retaining plenty of vintage character.

 

The Special T bridge pickup offers increased output with additional midrange and low-end punch while maintaining the unmistakable Telecaster bite. Roll the tone control back and it moves surprisingly close to vintage P-90 territory, making this an incredibly versatile instrument.

 

Condition

 

Excellent condition beyond the factory relic finish.

 

The relic work, lacquer checking, edge wear, hardware ageing and finish distressing are all original factory ageing carried out by Nash Guitars.

 

There are no issues beyond the intended relic treatment. It plays superbly with a comfortable action and produces exceptional vintage-inspired tones.
