2022 Edwards E-TE-CTM Telecaster Custom – Candy Apple Red – Chordplay Japan Select 🇯🇵

2022 MODEL – DIRECTLY IMPORTED FROM JAPAN – EXCELLENT CONDITION

An absolutely stunning 2022 Edwards E-TE-CTM Telecaster Custom, finished in a beautiful metallic Candy Apple Red with contrasting double white body binding and a rosewood fingerboard.

Carefully sourced directly from Japan for our exclusive Chordplay Japan Select collection, this is a fantastic example of the quality, specification and individuality that make Japanese-market guitars so appealing.

Part of the Edwards range from renowned Japanese guitar manufacturer ESP, the E-TE-CTM combines classic Telecaster styling with quality components, excellent attention to detail and a wonderful vintage-inspired appearance.

Featuring an alder body, hard maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, Gotoh machine heads and specially selected Edwards single-coil pickups, this is a beautifully appointed instrument with plenty to offer.

And in this particular colour combination, it looks absolutely fantastic!

Edwards E-TE-CTM – ESP Heritage & Japanese-Market Quality

Edwards has established an excellent reputation among guitar enthusiasts for producing instruments that combine traditional designs with impressive construction, carefully selected components and exceptional value.

As part of the ESP family, Edwards benefits from the design experience and expertise associated with one of Japan’s most respected guitar manufacturers.

The E-TE-CTM is a wonderful interpretation of the classic Telecaster Custom aesthetic, retaining the instantly recognisable single-cutaway shape while introducing attractive finishing details and a specification designed with serious players in mind.

This is a guitar that feels equally at home in the hands of somebody who appreciates traditional Telecaster tones or a player looking for something a little different from the more familiar Fender models.

Its combination of classic styling, versatile electronics and quality hardware makes it a particularly appealing instrument for blues, rock, country, indie and beyond.

Beautiful Candy Apple Red Finish & Double White Binding

Without question, one of the highlights of this particular Edwards is its stunning finish.

The metallic Candy Apple Red has a beautiful depth and richness, changing character as the light catches the body.

It’s a striking colour that looks fantastic against the traditional white pickguard, chrome hardware and dark rosewood fingerboard.

What really elevates the appearance, however, is the double white body binding.

Running around both the front and rear edges of the alder body, the binding gives the guitar a wonderfully refined, custom-inspired appearance.

It’s a detail that sets the E-TE-CTM apart from more conventional Telecaster models and adds considerably to its visual appeal.

The photographs show the actual guitar available from Chordplay Guitars, and we think you’ll agree that it’s a beautiful example.

Alder Body & Hard Maple Neck

The E-TE-CTM features an alder body, a traditional choice for this style of electric guitar.

Alder is known for its balanced tonal character, providing a versatile foundation for the clear, articulate response of single-coil pickups.

The bolt-on hard maple neck contributes to the guitar’s lively attack and familiar Telecaster playing feel.

A rosewood fingerboard provides a beautifully contrasting appearance and a comfortable playing surface, with traditional dot position markers completing the understated design.

The guitar features 21 frets, a 648mm scale length and a bone nut measuring approximately 42mm.

Together, these features deliver the familiar playing characteristics associated with classic Telecaster-style instruments.

Edwards Single-Coil Pickups – Traditional Telecaster Character

The E-TE-CTM is equipped with a pair of Edwards single-coil pickups, specifically selected for this model.

The ET-1b bridge pickup delivers the bright, articulate response and distinctive attack associated with traditional Telecaster guitars.

It’s an excellent choice for crisp rhythm parts, blues, country picking and cutting lead tones.

The ET-1n neck pickup provides a warmer, smoother character, making it particularly appealing for clean melodies, blues and expressive playing.

A three-way selector allows players to choose between the pickups or combine them, while master volume and tone controls provide straightforward sound adjustment.

It’s a wonderfully versatile and intuitive arrangement that has remained popular with guitarists for generations.

Whether you’re after sparkling clean sounds, classic Telecaster twang or punchier overdriven tones, the E-TE-CTM offers plenty of character.

Gotoh Hardware & Traditional Spiral-Saddle Bridge

The quality of the hardware is another particularly appealing feature of this Edwards.

The guitar is fitted with Gotoh SD91-05M tuning machines, combining traditional styling with the reliability and precision associated with one of Japan’s most respected guitar hardware manufacturers.

At the bridge, a T-20 unit with spiral saddles maintains the traditional Telecaster appearance while providing the familiar response of this classic design.

The chrome hardware complements the Candy Apple Red finish beautifully, completing an instrument that looks and feels carefully considered throughout.

These are the sort of thoughtful appointments that make Edwards guitars so appealing to players looking beyond the usual mainstream choices.
