The story of “Greeny” is one of the greatest in guitar history. Originally owned by Peter Green during his Fleetwood Mac years, later wielded by Gary Moore for over three decades, and now in the hands of Metallica’s Kirk Hammett, this legendary 1959 Les Paul has become one of the most recognisable electric guitars ever made.

 

Its unmistakable sound comes from the reversed magnetic polarity of the neck pickup, creating the famous out-of-phase middle position that has inspired generations of players.

 

Developed in collaboration with the Gibson Custom Shop, the Epiphone Kirk Hammett “Greeny” 1959 Les Paul Standard captures the look, feel and tone of the original remarkably well while incorporating genuine Gibson USA electronics and premium hardware throughout.

 

This example is in excellent used condition, showing only very light signs of careful use. The stunning Greeny Burst finish and AAA flame maple veneer really stand out, while the original brown and pink hardshell case completes the package beautifully.
