2025 Epiphone SG Special P-90 – Sparkling Burgundy

 

A beautifully presented 2025 Epiphone SG Special P-90 in Sparkling Burgundy, part of Epiphone’s highly regarded Inspired by Gibson range.

 

This is a wonderfully traditional take on the SG Special, pairing the lightweight double-cut mahogany body with a pair of Epiphone P-90 PRO soapbar pickups. It delivers everything you would want from a good P-90-equipped SG, with plenty of bite and clarity, a strong midrange and that slightly rawer character that sits somewhere between a traditional single-coil and a humbucker.

 

The mahogany body is matched with a mahogany neck featuring Epiphone’s comfortable 60s SlimTaper profile, while the Indian Laurel fingerboard has a 12” radius, 22 medium-jumbo frets and classic dot inlays. Hardware includes Epiphone Deluxe tuners with ivory buttons, a Graph Tech nut and LockTone bridge.

 

This 2025 guitar has clearly been cherished and has seen only light use. There are some light surface scratches and minor playwear consistent with careful home use, but overall it presents extremely well, as the photographs show. As with any previously owned instrument, there may also be very small handling marks that are difficult to capture under normal lighting.

 

We have just fitted a fresh set of strings and it has been checked over and is ready to play.
