A superb example of one of Ibanez’s best known fixed bridge RG models, finished in understated Mahogany Oil and offering the fast, effortless feel the RG series is famous for.

 

This is a 2026 ex-demo example and is genuinely indistinguishable from new. It has only been used for light demonstration in store, presents beautifully throughout and has been checked over and set up ready to play.

 

The RG421 combines a solid mahogany body with Ibanez’s slim Wizard III maple neck, giving it a comfortable, fast playing feel without sacrificing the warmth and resonance that comes from the mahogany construction. The natural oil finish also leaves the grain beautifully visible and gives the guitar a stripped-back, modern appearance.

 

A pair of Ibanez Infinity humbuckers provide plenty of output for rock and heavier styles, while the five-way selector gives considerably more versatility than a traditional two-humbucker layout. From full-bodied humbucker tones through to brighter, more articulate sounds, it is an exceptionally flexible setup.

 

The fixed bridge is another big attraction. It offers excellent tuning stability, straightforward string changes and a solid, direct response, making this a brilliant choice for players who want the RG feel without the complications of a locking tremolo.
