JET Guitars JT-600 Roasted Maple – Purple – Brand New

Fresh in from JET — one of their latest releases in this gorgeous new Purple finish.

 

We’ve just taken delivery of a batch of the newest JET models and this JT-600 was always going to be one of the standouts. The combination of the deeply figured purple flamed maple, crisp white pickguard and full gold hardware is absolutely stunning.

The JT-600 takes a familiar T-style shape and gives it a much more luxurious, modern feel. The mahogany body is topped with beautifully figured flamed maple, while the Canadian roasted maple neck and matching roasted maple fingerboard give it the smooth, broken-in feel that has become such a big part of JET’s appeal.

 

The neck uses a comfortable Modern C profile, with a 9.5” radius, 22 frets and traditional 25.5” scale length. It feels immediately familiar without being old-fashioned, and the roasted maple looks every bit as good as it feels.

 

JET have also gone for a slightly different pickup arrangement here. At the bridge is an Alnico J-Rail, paired with a T-Neck pickup, giving the JT-600 an HS setup with plenty of range. The J-Rail gives the bridge position more power and bite, while the neck retains the clarity and sweeter character you’d expect from a T-style guitar. A simple three-way selector, master volume and master tone keep everything straightforward.

 

Then there’s the hardware. The gold fixed bridge, control plate, fittings and locking tuners work brilliantly against the purple top, and really lift the whole guitar. It’s a very polished-looking instrument without going overboard.
