Blackstar HT-20R MkII 20W Valve Guitar Combo Amplifier~ With Footswitch~ Mint

Blackstar HT-20R MkII 20W Valve Combo Amplifier – Mint Condition – Footswitch Included

PRE-OWNED | MINT CONDITION | MINIMAL HOME USE

A beautiful example of the Blackstar HT-20R MkII, a versatile 20-watt valve guitar combo offering everything from warm, expressive clean tones through to classic rock crunch and powerful, high-gain overdrive.

This particular amplifier has seen only very light use in a home environment and is presented in mint condition, complete with its original Blackstar two-button footswitch.

Featuring a pair of EL84 power valves, four selectable amplifier voices, Blackstar’s patented ISF tone-shaping control and switchable 20W/2W output, the HT-20R MkII is a fantastic amplifier for home use, recording, rehearsals and smaller gigs.

At £399, this is an excellent opportunity to pick up a quality valve combo in lovely condition, with the added convenience of its original footswitch.

Classic Valve Tone with Modern Versatility

The HT-20R MkII combines two ECC83 preamp valves with a pair of EL84 power valves, giving it the warmth, response and natural overdrive that players appreciate in a traditional valve amplifier.

Blackstar has designed the HT-20R to offer a particularly broad range of sounds, making it suitable for everything from blues and classic rock to more modern, heavier styles.

There’s plenty of clarity and headroom available on the clean channel, while the overdrive channel can move from gentle breakup into rich, saturated distortion.

The amplifier also responds beautifully to changes in your playing dynamics and guitar volume, allowing you to explore different sounds without constantly adjusting the controls.

Two Channels, Four Distinct Voices

One of the highlights of the HT-20R MkII is its four selectable voices, with two options available on each channel.

Clean Channel

The first voice offers a bright, clear American-inspired clean tone, with a tight low end and excellent note definition.

The second voice introduces a more responsive British character, with warmer mids and a slightly looser feel that can be pushed into natural breakup.

Overdrive Channel

The first overdrive voice delivers a classic British-style crunch, ideal for blues, rock and expressive lead playing.

The second provides a more aggressive modern sound, with additional gain and a powerful low-end response.

This gives the HT-20R MkII plenty of flexibility, whether you’re looking for sparkling clean chords, vintage overdrive or heavier rock tones.

Blackstar ISF Tone Shaping

The HT-20R MkII features Blackstar’s patented ISF (Infinite Shape Feature) control.

Working alongside the traditional bass, middle and treble controls on the overdrive channel, ISF allows you to adjust the overall tonal character between American and British-inspired amplifier responses.

Turn it towards the American side for a tighter, more aggressive character, or towards the British side for a warmer, more rounded sound.

It’s a useful feature that provides plenty of scope for tailoring the amplifier to different guitars, pickups and playing styles.

20 Watts or 2 Watts – Ideal for Home or Stage

One of the most practical features of the HT-20R MkII is its built-in power reduction.

At the press of a button, the amplifier can be switched from its full 20-watt output down to just 2 watts.

This allows you to enjoy the response and character of the valve power stage at more manageable volume levels, making it particularly useful for home practice and recording.

When you need additional volume and projection, simply switch back to the full 20 watts.

Combined with the master volume control, this makes the HT-20R MkII a very adaptable amplifier.

Built-In Reverb & Recording Features

The HT-20R MkII also includes a studio-quality digital reverb, adding depth and ambience to your sound without requiring an external effects pedal.

For recording and home use, Blackstar has equipped the amplifier with a range of useful connections.

The USB-B audio output allows you to connect the amplifier directly to a computer for recording, while the speaker-emulated outputs provide an alternative to placing a microphone in front of the speaker.

A balanced XLR output allows direct connection to a mixing desk or recording equipment, while the stereo emulated output also accommodates headphones.

The amplifier offers selectable 1x12 and 4x12 cabinet emulation for its analogue speaker-emulated outputs.

An effects loop is included for connecting external pedals and effects processors, with switchable operating levels to accommodate different equipment.

There’s also an MP3/line input, making it easy to play along with backing tracks.

Blackstar FS-16 Two-Button Footswitch Included

This amplifier comes complete with the original Blackstar FS-16 two-button footswitch and connecting cable.

The footswitch allows hands-free selection of the Clean and Overdrive channels, along with switching between the two voices available on each channel.

It’s a very useful addition for anyone planning to use the amplifier for rehearsals, performances or simply changing sounds while playing at home.
