A beautifully presented 2025 Squier Classic Vibe ’50s Stratocaster in White Blonde, upgraded with a full set of EMG SA active single coil pickups.

 

Already one of the strongest Strat-style guitars in the Squier range, this example has been given a significant electronics upgrade with three EMG SA pickups. Using Alnico V magnets and active circuitry, the SA set retains the clarity and snap you expect from a Strat while adding fuller mids, excellent definition and an extremely low-noise performance.

 

The White Blonde finish looks superb against the vintage tinted maple neck, white plastics and matching white EMGs. It is also a particularly substantial example at approximately 9 lb, giving it a solid, planted feel.

 

Condition is excellent overall. It has seen light use and presents extremely well, with only light surface and handling marks consistent with careful ownership. There is also some light discolouration to the white pickup covers, as shown in the photographs.

 

We have just set the guitar up and fitted a fresh set of strings, so it is ready to play straight away.

 

EMG SA Active Pickup Upgrade

 

The standard Fender-designed pickups have been replaced with a complete set of EMG SA active single coils.

 

The SA is one of EMG’s classic Strat replacement pickups, using an Alnico V magnet design for a warmer, smoother midrange while maintaining the clarity and articulation associated with a traditional single coil.

 

The active system offers excellent consistency, strong output and very low noise, making this a genuinely useful upgrade for blues, rock, clean tones and higher gain playing.
