Fender Player Telecaster – Butterscotch Blonde – Maple Fingerboard – 2023

PRE-OWNED | 2023 | BUTTERSCOTCH BLONDE

A beautiful 2023 Fender Player Telecaster in the timeless Butterscotch Blonde finish, complete with a maple neck, black pickguard and classic chrome hardware.

Few guitars are as instantly recognisable as a Butterscotch Telecaster, and this Mexican-made Player Series model captures that traditional appearance beautifully while offering a comfortable, modern playing feel.

This particular guitar has had just one owner from new and has seen very little actual playing time, having been used mainly at home.

There are, however, some cosmetic marks and small knocks from being moved and handled over the years, which we’ve photographed carefully and reflected in our asking price.

We would normally retail a Player Telecaster like this at £549, but this one is available for £499.

A lovely guitar that plays very nicely, with all the familiar Telecaster sounds and feel.

Classic Butterscotch Blonde Styling

There are few colour combinations more closely associated with the Fender Telecaster than Butterscotch Blonde, a black pickguard and maple neck.

It’s a design that goes right back to the earliest days of the Telecaster and remains just as appealing today.

The alder body features a gloss polyester finish, with the grain subtly visible beneath the warm Butterscotch colour.

The black pickguard provides a striking contrast, while the chrome control plate, traditional Telecaster bridge and maple fingerboard complete the look.

We’ve removed the protective film from the pickguard since the guitar arrived, leaving it looking beautifully clean and fresh.

It’s a classic Fender design that needs very little introduction.

Player Series Alnico 5 Pickups

The Player Telecaster features a pair of Fender Player Series Alnico 5 single-coil pickups, delivering the clarity, bite and versatility that have made the Telecaster a favourite with guitarists for generations.

The bridge pickup offers that unmistakable Telecaster twang, with plenty of attack and definition for country, blues and rock.

Switch to the neck pickup for warmer, rounder tones that work beautifully for clean playing, blues and more relaxed styles.

The middle position combines both pickups for a balanced sound with plenty of character.

With simple master volume and tone controls and a three-way pickup selector, it’s easy to find the sound you’re looking for.

From traditional country picking to indie, blues and classic rock, the Player Telecaster is a remarkably versatile instrument.

Modern C Maple Neck & 22 Frets

One of the nicest features of the Player Series is its comfortable neck.

The maple neck has Fender’s Modern C profile, offering a familiar shape that feels comfortable for both chords and lead playing.

A satin urethane finish on the back of the neck provides a smooth playing feel, while the gloss-finished maple fingerboard gives the guitar its classic appearance.

The 9.5-inch fingerboard radius and 22 medium-jumbo frets provide a slightly more modern playing experience than traditional vintage-spec Telecasters.

It’s a particularly enjoyable neck, combining the familiar feel of a Fender with the comfort needed for everyday playing.

Traditional Telecaster Design with Modern Hardware

The Player Series retains the traditional string-through-body Telecaster construction while using a modern six-saddle bridge.

This allows individual adjustment of each string’s intonation, offering greater flexibility than a traditional three-saddle arrangement.

The block steel saddles, sealed tuning machines and chrome hardware complete a straightforward, dependable design.

It’s a guitar that feels equally at home in a rehearsal room, recording studio or on stage.

Pre-Owned – Good Overall Condition with Cosmetic Marks

This 2023 Fender Player Telecaster has had just one owner from new and has seen relatively little playing time, mainly in a home environment.

It plays very nicely and remains a particularly attractive guitar overall.

Although it hasn’t seen much actual playing use, it has picked up a number of small cosmetic marks and knocks, most likely through being moved and handled around the home.

There are some light surface scratches and scuffs to the gloss finish, along with several small indentations and finish chips around the body edges.

The most noticeable marks are around the body edge near the output jack, where there are some small chips and impressions in the finish.

There are also light scuffs on the rear of the body, some minor marks around the front edges and a small visible finish line near the neck joint.

The marks have been photographed clearly so you can see exactly what to expect.

The black pickguard looks exceptionally clean, having had its protective plastic film removed since arriving with us.

Importantly, this remains a great-looking guitar that plays very well. The cosmetic imperfections are the reason we’ve reduced our usual asking price by £50.

We normally retail these at £549, but this example is available for £499.00.

Please study the photographs, which show the actual guitar available from Chordplay Guitars.
