⚡️ Squier Classic Vibe Custom Telecaster – 3-Color Sunburst – Upgraded Fender Noiseless Pickups ⚡️

 

A seriously good Classic Vibe Custom Telecaster that has had some worthwhile upgrades and, most importantly, plays and sounds superb.

 

First thing to make completely clear: this is a Squier Classic Vibe Custom Telecaster, not a USA or Mexican Fender Telecaster. The previous owner replaced the original Squier headstock decal with a Fender Telecaster decal. The original Squier serial number remains clearly visible on the rear of the headstock and identifies the guitar correctly.

 

The guitar itself is the desirable Classic Vibe Custom Telecaster, finished in 3-Color Sunburst with the distinctive double-bound body, rosewood fingerboard and vintage-style hardware. These have always been one of the better-looking models from the Classic Vibe range.

 

This example has then been upgraded with a set of genuine Fender American Noiseless Telecaster pickups, replacing the original Squier units. They sound excellent, retaining the clarity and bite you would expect from a Tele while greatly reducing the background hum associated with traditional single coils.

 

There is also a blend control modification fitted to the electronics, giving some additional tonal flexibility beyond the standard factory wiring.

 

The bridge retains the traditional three-saddle Tele arrangement, and overall this feels much more substantial than its £399 asking price would suggest.

 

Condition

 

Used and in good overall condition, but certainly not mint.

 

There are a couple of noticeable small chips/marks to the sunburst finish along with various lighter scratches, handling marks and general player wear around the body. We have photographed the more noticeable areas closely so there are no surprises.

 

The double binding remains a great feature visually and, viewed normally rather than under close inspection, the guitar still presents very nicely.

 

There is normal age and use visible to the hardware and finish, but nothing that detracts from what is an excellent playing instrument.

 

The guitar has been checked over and plays extremely well.

Again, for complete clarity, the Fender decal does not make this a Fender-built Telecaster. It remains a genuine Squier Classic Vibe Custom Telecaster and is being advertised and sold as such.

 

At £399, this represents a lot of Telecaster for the money, particularly with the upgraded Fender pickups. The Classic Vibe Custom was already one of the standout models in the range, and the modifications on this example make it an excellent player’s guitar rather than something aimed at collectors wanting an untouched example.
