🔥 Stolen Valour Buddy Guy / Angine de Poitrine Heavy Relic ST-Style Guitar 🔥

 

A brilliantly unusual Stolen Valour Buddy Guy / Angine de Poitrine-inspired ST-style guitar, built in England and originally purchased directly from Mike at Stolen Valour.

 

This is very much a one-off character piece. The black and cream polka-dot finish immediately gives it the Buddy Guy influence, but the level of ageing goes far beyond the graphics. The body, hardware, plastics and neck have all been heavily worked to give the guitar the appearance and feel of an instrument that has spent decades being played.

 

The relic work is superb. There’s extensive simulated finish wear around the edges and contours, exposed timber, aged hardware and plenty of smaller marks and details across both the front and rear. It doesn’t feel like somebody has simply attacked a guitar with sandpaper; the whole thing has been put together as one coherent aged instrument.

 

Underneath all of that, it is also a genuinely nice guitar. A maple neck with a dark rosewood fingerboard gives it the familiar feel you would expect from a traditional ST-style instrument, with three single-coil pickups, vintage-style tremolo and classic three-knob control layout.

 

The original Stolen Valour description summed it up rather well as “speaking fluent Strat” – glassy highs, punchy mids and the elastic response that makes this style of guitar so addictive to play.

 

Condition

 

The important bit with something like this: the ageing is intentional.

 

Beyond the factory/custom relic treatment, the guitar is in excellent condition and has clearly been looked after. It was purchased directly from Mike at Stolen Valour and there is nothing we would class as notable accidental damage beyond the deliberate finish wear and ageing.

 

It presents exactly as intended – beaten-up, worn-in and full of character.
