π¬π§ Marshall SV20C Studio Vintage 20W Valve Combo β Nearly New π¬π§ A superb opportunity to pick up a Marshall SV20C Studio Vintage in genuinely near-new condition for considerably less than the current RRP. This example was purchased brand new only around a month ago and has been used just a small handful of times at home. As you can see from the photographs, it presents exceptionally well and even still has the Marshall hang tag attached. Our price: Β£699.00 RRP: Β£879.00 The Studio Vintage series takes its inspiration directly from one of the most famous Marshall amplifiers ever made, the legendary 1959 Super Lead Plexi, but brings that unmistakable character into a much more manageable 20-watt format. This is still a serious all-valve Marshall, handcrafted in Britain, with a pair of EL34 power valves and the familiar four-input arrangement that allows the two channels to be blended by patching them together. From rich, pushed blues tones through to the aggressive crunch and biting classic-rock lead sounds that made the original Plexi famous, the SV20C absolutely nails that old-school Marshall character. And unlike a full-size 100-watt Super Lead, you have the choice of running it at 20 watts or reducing the output to 5 watts, making it far more practical at home, in the studio and on smaller stages. Why The SV20C Is Special The SV20C isnβt simply another modern modelling interpretation of a vintage Marshall. This is an all-valve amplifier designed and built in the UK, using the classic Super Lead layout as its foundation. You get the traditional Normal and High Treble channels with four separate inputs, individual Loudness controls and Marshallβs classic Treble, Middle, Bass and Presence EQ arrangement. Jump the channels together and you can blend the thicker Normal channel with the brighter High Treble channel to dial in everything from warm vintage crunch to that unmistakable cutting Plexi roar. Marshall have also added a few concessions to modern use, including a series effects loop, DI output and switchable 20W/5W operation, without taking away from the simplicity and character that makes this circuit so desirable.
