A beautiful full-bodied jazz guitar and, importantly, the last one we have available.

 

With Eko having significantly reduced production across much of its range, we are unlikely to see another of these through the doors. This is a brand new Eko Tribute Jazz in Sunburst, offering classic hollow-body styling, a traditional twin-humbucker layout and a specification that punches well above its price point.

 

The Tribute Jazz series was created to capture the look, feel and warmth of the classic large-bodied electric guitars that became synonymous with jazz, blues and traditional guitar music.

 

The body features a maple top with Pawlonia back and sides, finished in a rich high-gloss Sunburst. The deep hollow-body construction, twin F-holes, bound edges and traditional tailpiece give it a wonderfully authentic appearance.

 

A maple neck is paired with a Laurel fingerboard, 22 jumbo frets and a comfortable Eko Low C profile. With its 630mm scale length and 43mm bone nut, it feels immediately familiar and very easy to play.

 

Electronics come courtesy of a pair of Eko humbuckers, each with its own volume and tone control, together with a three-way pickup selector. There is plenty of warmth available from the neck pickup, while the bridge adds clarity and definition when required.

 

Completing the traditional look are a Laurel bridge, Eko Tune-O-Matic style hardware and die-cast machine heads.

 

This is a lovely looking instrument in the flesh. The Sunburst finish works beautifully with the cream binding and vintage-style hardware, and for £449 it offers a huge amount of guitar.
