Peerless PGC-65 00 Compact Grand Concert Acoustic Guitar~ Vintage Sunburst OHSC!

Peerless PGC-65 00-Style Compact Grand Concert Acoustic – Vintage Sunburst – All-Solid Construction – Hard Case

£499.00

A beautiful and increasingly hard-to-find Peerless PGC-65 acoustic, finished in a rich Vintage Sunburst and supplied with a fitted Peerless hard case.

One of the biggest selling points of this model is its all-solid construction. The PGC-65 features a solid spruce top paired with solid mahogany back and sides, giving it a more mature, resonant and responsive character than you would usually expect at this price point.

This is the straight acoustic version, not the electro model.

Peerless described the PGC-65 as an 00-style compact guitar, and it sits very comfortably in that smaller-bodied Grand Concert territory. It has that wonderfully intimate, comfortable feel you get from a compact acoustic, while still producing plenty of projection and a beautifully balanced response.

The solid spruce top gives the guitar clarity, sparkle and definition, while the solid mahogany back and sides add warmth, focus and a strong midrange. Together they give the PGC-65 a really musical, articulate voice that works especially well for fingerstyle, lighter strumming and more nuanced acoustic playing.

The smaller body is also exceptionally comfortable to hold, making this a great choice for players who find larger dreadnought-style acoustics cumbersome.

Visually, it is a lovely instrument too. The Vintage Sunburst finish works beautifully with the body binding, tortoiseshell-style pickguard and elegant Peerless headstock, giving it a very classy, traditional appearance.

This example has clearly been cherished and remains in very good used condition. There is only light play wear, some minor surface marking and the sort of small cosmetic signs you would expect from careful use.

Most importantly, it is structurally sound, plays beautifully and is ready to enjoy.

For £499 including the hard case, this represents a lot of acoustic guitar for the money, especially given the all-solid tonewood construction.
