Spira Guitars T-450 TDB~ Trans Blue Flame Maple~ Villain Custom Humbuckers~ NEW

Spira Guitars T-450 TDB – Trans Blue Flame Maple – Villain Humbuckers – Roasted Maple Neck

Another Spira Guitars arrival, and this one really does show just how much guitar they’re offering for the money.

The T-450 TDB takes the familiar T-style outline and gives it a very modern makeover, with a beautifully figured flamed maple top in Gloss Trans Blue, roasted woods, 24 jumbo frets, locking tuners, a string-through hardtail bridge and a pair of Spira’s high-output Villain humbuckers.

It’s a striking guitar without being overdone. The transparent blue finish lets plenty of the flame show through, while the black pickguard, pickups and hardware give the whole thing a much more contemporary look.

Underneath the flame maple top is a roasted poplar body, paired with a Canadian roasted maple neck and roasted maple fingerboard. The Modern D profile, 14” radius and 24 jumbo frets make this very much a modern player’s guitar — fast and comfortable, with plenty of room for bends, wider vibrato and more technical playing.

The two Spira Villain humbuckers are custom-made ceramic pickups with a quoted 12k output, designed to deliver plenty of punch and definition when you start adding gain. They’re powerful without turning everything into mush, making the T-450 particularly well suited to rock and heavier styles while still retaining enough clarity for cleaner sounds.

Controls are deliberately straightforward with a single volume, single tone and pickup selector, so there’s nothing unnecessary getting in the way.

The fixed string-through hardtail bridge keeps things simple and stable, while the factory locking tuners, bone nut and double-action truss rod are exactly the sort of appointments you’d normally expect to see much further up the price ladder.
