One of the more unusual guitars in the Vintage range, and our last one at a huge £200 saving.

The REVO Trio takes a familiar offset/T-style idea and goes somewhere completely different with it. Finished in a rich Honeyburst, with cream body binding, a white pearloid scratchplate, oversized chrome vibrato and three Alan Entwistle J90A pickups, there’s a lot going on here visually — but it all comes together brilliantly.

Those three pickups are P90-style units using Alnico V rod magnets, giving them plenty of clarity and definition with that bigger, warmer character you’d expect from a P90. Where the Trio gets particularly interesting is the switching system. Rather than a conventional 3 or 5-way selector, it uses two 3-way switches, giving seven different pickup combinations.

That makes it incredibly versatile. There are convincing clean and jangly sounds, thicker blues and rock tones, plenty of bite when pushed and some much bigger combinations when more than one pickup is brought into play.

The okoume body is double bound and paired with a bolt-on maple neck, 22-fret fingerboard and 25.5” scale. A GraphTech nut, Wilkinson E-Z-Lok tuners and roller bridge work alongside the vintage-style offset vibrato to make this considerably more usable than many guitars with this kind of retro hardware.

The vibrato itself is great fun too — ideal for subtle shimmer, dips and expressive chord work rather than simply being there for decoration.

It’s distinctive, versatile and genuinely different from most guitars around this price — and at £299 for our final one, there is a ridiculous amount of guitar here for the money.
